CallTower has launched GTx, a landmark solution for Microsoft Teams Operator Connect.
GTx is pitched as a revolutionary Operator Connect rebiller programme that CallTower says will change the “transactional landscape” for Managed Service providers (MSPs), system integrators, resellers, distributors and VARs.
The vendor describes GTx as a seamless, innovative tool to empower partners by enhancing services, streamlining operations, and unlocking growth opportunities in the UC sector.
Jessica Flannery, Director of Strategic Alliances at CallTower, commented:
I am thrilled that CallTower’s partner program is meeting partners at their current stage of development. GTx is a valuable tool that enables partners to conduct transactions aligning with their requirements. We understand that partners possess diverse skill sets, with many eager to handle implementation, billing, and day 2 services. GTx is our response to fulfill this demand effectively!”
CallTower emphasises that its innovative rebiller program, GTx, offers an all-in-one transaction tool for enhanced operational efficiency. GTx enables partners to elevate service offerings and unlock new growth opportunities, facilitating deeper transformative development within the Microsoft stack. CallTower manages telecom tax, compliance regulations, and additional responsibilities.
CallTower explained that GTx represents its commitment to empowering partners with the resources and support needed to thrive in a competitive landscape. CallTower aims to drive partner success and usher in a new era of client-centric service delivery by providing a platform that fosters innovation and efficiency.
“GTx is more than just a tool; it’s a powerful approach to equipping our partners with the tools, resources, and assistance necessary to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving technological sphere and enhance their clients’ Microsoft Teams Operator Connect journey,” added William Rubio, Chief Revenue Officer at CallTower.

What Teams News Has Happened This Past Week?
Microsoft Build 2024 last week featured several noteworthy pieces of Teams news.
Perhaps the most eye-catching was Microsoft’s unveiling of Team Copilot, an expansion of its flagship AI assistant into a “valuable member of your team”.
Team Copilot aims to evolve the AI-powered assistant from a behind-the-scenes helper into a meeting facilitator, group collaborator and project manager—while enabling users to have complete control over assigning its tasks and responsibilities.
Team Copilot will be available in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, Microsoft Loop, and more, and intends to enhance user productivity and collaboration even further than what Copilot currently offers.
There were other notable Teams announcements at Build.
New Teams meetings capabilities include intelligent recap for transcription-only meetings, scheduled channel meetings, management of transcription and recording permissions, and the option to disable screen sharing to prevent information leakage.
For Teams Phone, new features include new call forwarding settings on Teams phone devices, busy-on-busy settings, redirecting incoming calls to voicemail, making calls on behalf of call queue or auto attendant numbers, and prompting users to set PIN locks via the admin centre.
