What Else Has RingCentral Been Up To Recently?

Last month, RingCentral CEO Vlad Shmunis revealed that the company and Mitel had ended their exclusive UCaaS partnership.

Shmunis announced the news on an earnings call with analysts, during which he assessed RingCentral’s range of partnerships.

“In Q2, we acquired certain additional assets and customer relationships related to Mitel’s MiCloud Connect and Sky UCaaS platform,” he said. “While we have migrated hundreds of thousands of Mitel’s cloud seats already, we expect that this will allow us to provide a better customer experience for the remaining cloud base in their customer’s digital transformation journey. Moving forward, RingCentral and Mitel will be non-exclusive partners.”

RingCentral has been removed from the product listings on Mitel’s website. Additionally, a URL that previously directed users to a page promoting RingCentral on Mitel’s site is now inactive.

In other news, RingCentral and Vodafone announced they are extending their shared Vodafone Business UC solution to over 30 markets by early 2025, including South America, the Middle East, Africa, further EU countries, and Asia Pacific.

In an expansion of their longstanding strategic partnership, the businesses also announced that they will begin offering Vodafone Business Contact Center with RingCentral, powered by RingCX.
