Zoom has announced its Zoom Workplace and Workvivo solutions are now available on the AWS Marketplace.

Customers can now effortlessly acquire a range of Zoom Workplace products, including Meetings, Team Chat, Phone, Whiteboard, and Spaces, along with Workvivo, Zoom Contact Center, and Revenue Accelerator, directly from the AWS Marketplace. Marketplace is Amazon’s digital catalogue encompassing myriad solutions from independent software vendors that intend to simplify identifying, testing, buying, and deploying software that runs via Amazon AWS.

Graeme Geddes, Chief Growth Officer at Zoom, commented:

By making Zoom available through a private offer in AWS Marketplace, we are able to reach more customers and are better equipped to enable IT teams to consolidate their technology. At Zoom, we are excited to build upon our already strong relationship with AWS and work together further to help meet the business and technology needs of our customers.”

Zoom outlines that it’s building on its over two years of success as an AWS independent software vendor (ISV) in the public sector. This streamlined purchasing option for Zoom Workplace aims to allow AWS customers to consolidate their technology purchasing and billing for Zoom solutions, discover partners to assist with deployment and maximise their use of AWS committed resources.

Zoom highlights that it integrates over 40 AWS services, such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Key Management Service, Amazon RDS, and Amazon DynamoDB. With Zoom’s Customer Managed Key offering, customers can use their own encryption keys via AWS Key Management Service to safeguard specific data. In 2023, AWS recognised Zoom as a NAMER finalist for the Geo and Global AWS Partner Award in the Education Partners of the Year category.

Zoom’s Busy September

It’s been a whirlwind month for the collaboration giant.

Earlier this month, Zoom was named Mitel‘s new exclusive UCaaS partner after the latter ended its exclusivity relationship with RingCentral.

Zoom and Mitel have entered into a major strategic partnership aimed at providing AI-powered UC solutions for enterprises. Under the agreement, Zoom will become the exclusive UCaaS provider within Mitel’s broader UC portfolio, marking a key component of their collaboration. This follows the end of a similar Mitel exclusive UCaaS partnership with RingCentral last month.

The partnership includes the launch of a hybrid cloud solution that combines Zoom Workplace and Zoom AI Companion with Mitel’s industry-leading communications platform. This collaboration is designed to deliver an advanced, integrated communications experience, enhancing functionality and flexibility for enterprise users.

“Like Zoom, Mitel has a customer-first approach where providing a best-in-class, collaborative working environment is of the utmost importance,” commented Eric Yuan, Founder and CEO of Zoom. “I look forward to watching this partnership progress and continuing to work closely with Mitel to meet the evolving needs of our users.”

In related news, Zoom has announced that its AI Companion solution has received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorisation from the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) as a JAB Moderate system.

This new certification adds to the list of approved solutions under Zoom for Government, further highlighting Zoom’s commitment to serving the U.S. government sector with secure and compliant communication tools.
