AVer has made NDI standard across its Pro AV cameras to bolster device connectivity and make app integrations more seamless.
Intending to streamline IP-based workflows, AVer describes NDI as “becoming the most popular IP standard”. NDI uses established network infrastructure to empower admins to seamlessly connect their video devices, integrate more apps, produce more resources on the network, and create more content.
Aalap Patel, AVer’s director of product for pro AV/K-12 at AVer, commented:
By integrating NDI, we’re delivering an even more seamless experience for our users, enabling them to produce top-quality content across diverse environments with greater flexibility and ease. We believe NDI is the future of video production – and we are proud to make it a standard feature in our products without additional cost to customers.”
AVer highlights that its professional auto-tracking and live-streaming NDI PTZ cameras enable users to enhance their video content with innovative features. The NDI|HX tech aims to ensure high-quality, low-latency video without the need for additional bandwidth investment.
Additionally, AVer says the setup is straightforward, as it requires no special equipment, cables, or inputs/outputs. AVer emphasises that its NDI PTZ cameras provide top-notch quality, features, and connectivity, even on low-bandwidth networks.
NDI will be automatically enabled with a straightforward firmware upgrade on November 1, 2024. AVer promises a “free upgrade” to unlock NDI functionality for users and organisations with non-NDI models, which is also available on November 1. AVer also adds that it’s at no extra cost.
“AVer’s decision to adopt NDI as a standard across their lineup speaks volumes about the value NDI brings to the community,” added Charles Dobson, Business Development for NDI.
“Seeing a company like AVer, known for its innovative video conferencing and collaboration solutions, embrace NDI technology reinforces the growing demand for more integrated, flexible, and network-friendly video solutions. This trust in the NDI IP-video standard opens new opportunities for users around the globe, and we look forward to the impact this partnership will have.”
What Else Has AVer Been Up To Recently?
In August, AVer received Zoom Rooms Presenter Focus certifications for a range of Pro AV cameras following “rigorous” testing.
AVer highlighted how its auto-tracking camera series enhances user experience by delivering “impactful presentations” with optimised visual focus, helping to maintain audience engagement. The TR211, TR315, TR315N, TR335, TR335N, PTC310UV2, and PTC320UNV2 models have all received certification for use in Zoom Rooms.
Meanwhile, in May, AVer announced its TR300 Series of 4K PTZ cameras had obtained the prestigious NDI Certification for advanced video streaming.
AVer’s TR315N and TR335N 4K PTZ cameras were awarded the NDI HX3 Certification, signifying their compatibility with NDI’s seamless, efficient, low-latency video connectivity technology. AVer claims this certification reinforces the cameras’ role in transforming the Pro AV industry by providing low latency and reduced bandwidth usage while preserving high-quality visuals.
Importantly, these enhancements do not require significant hardware upgrades, which AVer underlines make them a game-changer for professional audiovisual setups.
