The customisable AI agents perform tasks across all phases of a project, including intake, planning, execution, and reporting.
The AI Studio’s AI-powered workflows, also called “Smart workflows,” utilise Asana’s Work Graph, which adds essential context and historical relationships to connect the various company workflows.
Dustin Moskovitz, Co-Founder and CEO of Asana, outlined some of the key benefits of AI Studio for businesses: “We’re excited to roll out a no-code builder that lets customers design workflows by simply giving AI instructions in plain language.”
This level of ease and accessibility to building agents is a big step forward for any company wanting to improve the quality of their work while empowering teams to move faster.”
Asana AI Studio
According to the enterprise work management platform, Asana, AI Studio sets itself apart from other AI tools by functioning like a teammate, coordinating projects, orchestrating work, and carrying out low-value tasks.
Asana’s 2024 State of Work Innovation report that found employees spend more than half their time on ‘busywork’, while only around one-fifth of people believe teams in their organisation are effectively integrated.
AI Studio has already demonstrated its utility as part of Asana’s Beta program by building intelligent workflows for teams working in marketing, operations, IT, HR, and R&D, fulfilling various use cases.
Marketers, for example, can use the technology to speed up editorial and creative production, campaign planning, and product launches. Asana’s AI offers advice and can take action on related processes.
Operations and IT departments can enhance their strategic planning and resource management.
Workers can use AI Studio to collect relevant project information, which can help prioritise the next steps for projects that align with overall strategic objectives.
It can also assist with establishing a timeframe and the resources that will be required to complete projects based on past and future work.
AI Studio can suggest project sequences to ensure that work is completed on time and that the right workers are assigned to the appropriate roles.
Finally, reporting can benefit from AI Studio’s capability to summarise key takeaways and highlight areas which require attention.
Moskovitz provided yet more reasons to implement AI Studio: “Organisations are drowning in tools and crave clarity around how work connects to business goals. They want to free up employee time to focus on the most important work – this is where Asana comes in. We coordinate work across teams, streamline processes, and create transparency at scale. And now, with AI Studio, we’re taking this to a new level by seamlessly blending human creativity and AI efficiency.”
Customers can deploy workflows where AI doesn’t just assist, but actively works as a teammate, enabling organisations to focus on what truly matters – driving innovation and achieving their most ambitious goals.”
Early access to AI Studio begins today for Enterprise and Enterprise+ tiers, with advanced annual tiers due for release soon.
