Snom has announced an expansion of its D8xx desk phone series to bolster enterprise communications.

Snom, a prominent provider of IP-based communication solutions, has unveiled two new IP end devices, the D812 and D815W, along with the D8C expansion module. These new devices are designed to seamlessly complement the existing D8xx range, providing the critical features required for modern office comms. Snom stresses they are available at attractive entry-level prices, making them a cost-effective but shrew choice for businesses looking to enhance their comms infrastructure without breaking the bank.

Steven Try, Channel Manager UK&I at Snom, commented:

With the new D812 and D815W models, we are expanding the D8xx series with attractive options in the mid-price market; both offer high performance that meets the everyday needs of most work environments. The D812 and the D815W are affordable solutions for companies who value functionality, design and quality.”

More Specifics On The New End Devices And Expansion Module

Snom’s D812 is pitched as boasting cutting-edge tech, excellent voice quality, and an elegant design. It features four context-sensitive keys and an additional eight that are freely programmable, along with Snom’s five-way navigation button. Snom says this new model in the D8xx series can be intuitively adapted to the user’s needs, whether for setting up call groups, speed dials, or other similar functions.

Meanwhile, the Snom D815W is a larger device that Snom says is suitable for everyday use in any office environment. Like the D812, the D815W has antibacterial housing and a 5-inch TFT colour display, supporting up to 12 SIP identities. Its two-gigabit capabilities and two USB 2.0 ports aim to ensure maximum connectivity. With integrated Wi-Fi and a total of ten keys offering up to forty different functions, Snom suggests the D815W combines elegant design with impressive versatility and performance for its price range.

Snom adds that both end devices can be remotely configured using auto-provisioning or SRAPS and meet the high security and HD audio quality standards expected of Snom products.

Finally, the Snom D8xx ecosystem now includes its own expansion module, the D8C. This module features a large, high-res colour display with a clear user interface. Up to three Snom D8C modules can be added via plug-and-play to the USB port of a D8xx desk phone. Snom highlights that the D8C module offers a thorough overview of call activity while expanding the end device’s application possibilities.

“The D8C has been eagerly anticipated by our customers,” added Try. “The D8xx series has been very popular – these three new products are just the start of several other launches that we have planned for this series.”

Snom Supports Frontline Workers With Robust New DECT Device

It’s been a busy October for Snom. Last week, it unveiled a new DECT end device tailor-made to support frontline workers in demanding environments.

Snom has expanded its M5xx product series with the introduction of the M56 mobile phone. Featuring a rugged and compact design, the M56 is certified IP67, making it highly resistant to dust and water. This DECT device is specifically designed for frontline workers who require enhanced durability and reliable functionality in demanding environments.

“With the M56, we’re offering a powerful and robust mobile phone that meets the requirements of demanding work environments and, at the same time, the highest level of user-friendliness,” said Oliver Wittig, Senior Application Manager at Snom. “Like our other products in the M5xx series, the new M56 can be used flexibly and, in particular, enables operators of medium-sized warehouses, shops, and restaurants to benefit from cutting-edge telecommunications platforms and create a safe but flexible work environment.”
