Cisco has announced the key details of its upcoming WebexOne event, which kicks off on Monday 21 October.

WebexOne is Cisco’s annual event focused on AI-driven collaboration and customer experience.

The event will be held both in-person at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Florida and virtually via the Webex Events app. Delegates wanting to attend virtually can register now.

AI in Action

This year, executives from various global brands, including AMD, the Dallas Cowboys, and M&T Bank, will take to the stage alongside Cisco partners and leaders.

The event will explore topics related to generative AI, customer experience, and collaboration technology, with sessions led by Cisco executives and other industry leaders.

Author and journalist Fareed Zakaria will deliver the opening keynote, while comedian and former host of “The Daily Show “Trevor Noah will deliver the closing keynote.

Stanford professor Erik Brynjolfsson will also conduct a session on measuring business value through AI.

Cisco leaders such as Jeetu Patel and Anurag Dhingra will discuss the company’s AI and collaboration technology vision. Meanwhile, sessions will highlight Cisco’s product portfolio and its impact on the future of work.

Attendees will be able to participate in training programs, breakout sessions, and hands-on demos.

The event will also announce the winners of the third-annual Webex Customer Awards.

What Happened Last Year?

WebexOne 2023 took place in Anaheim, California, with over 1,200 in-person attendees and 15,000 virtual participants.

The event focused heavily on generative AI, introducing several AI-driven updates, including the Webex AI Assistant for meetings, AI-powered codecs, and enhanced messaging features.

Cisco also revealed new hardware, such as the Room Kit EQX for video meetings and Bang & Olufsen earbuds for professionals.

In addition, Cisco introduced two contact centre solutions—Webex Customer Experience Basic and Essentials—targeting small businesses and larger enterprises.

The company also announced deeper integration with Apple’s ecosystem and a new mobility solution with AT&T for unified calling across devices.
