Logitech has unveiled the Rally Camera Streamline solution to bolster modern workplaces and hybrid learning environments.
The collaboration technology vendor pitches the Rally Camera Streamline as a thorough USB Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera tailored for hyflex learning contexts and hybrid workspaces.
Logitech suggests audiences expect seamless, personalised experiences, whether engaging with content in person, online, or asynchronously. Centred on Logitech’s flagship Rally Camera, the kit aspires to simplify switching between preset camera views, streamline installation and ensure smooth troubleshooting.
Michele Hermann, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech for Education, commented:
PTZ cameras with speaker tracking for lecture capture are often overly complex and expensive, adding unnecessary hardware to standard USB AV setups while creating unpredictable and distracting user experiences. The Rally Camera Streamline Kit is an accessible and easy-to-install solution that minimizes setup complexity while enhancing both user experience and content delivery.”
The Rally Camera Streamline Kit aims to empower presenters to maintain focus and control their narrative, thus providing an engaging experience for audiences. Logitech outlines that with intuitive, strategically placed buttons, presenters can straightforwardly switch between preset PTZ camera views. This design not only intends to simplify setup for AV teams but also eliminates the need for extensive presenter training in these spaces.
Logitech highlights that the solution integrates the Rally Camera with an Extension Kit, which encompasses a camera-side base that can be connected and powered up to 100 meters away using a category cable. The vendor adds that the base interfaces directly with USB-based AV equipment via a control box. Simplified mounting options—such as wall mounts, inverted National Pipe Thread (NPT) mounts, and tripods—combined with discreet cable routing aim to enable efficient, professional installations.
Leveraging the Rally Camera’s USB-based technology, Logitech suggests the solution is compatible with most operating systems and widely used video collaboration and lecture capture platforms, making it a versatile choice for diverse presentation environments.
The Logitech Rally Camera Streamline Kit, featuring the Rally Camera, Extension Kit, mounts, and three preset buttons, will be available for pre-order through channel partners starting spring 2025 at a suggested retail price of $2,199. Additionally, the Extension Kit, individual mounts, and preset buttons will be sold separately as add-ons for the Rally Camera.
What Else Has Logitech Been Up To Recently?
In October, Logitech announced its new BYOD single-cable solution, Extend, to simplify video meetings and improve interoperability.
Logitech Extend is marketed as a straightforward, single-cable solution tailored for Android and BYOD meeting rooms. Designed to simplify the user experience, it allows individuals to quickly connect and start meetings directly from their laptop or mobile device using a USB-C cable, according to the company.
Logitech announced several eye-catching partnerships and collaborations last summer, including Vyopta joining its Collaboration Program in June to grant customers critical insights on meeting rooms and collaboration spaces.
Through the CollabOS API, Vyopta and Logitech deliver essential insights into space utilisation. These insights intend to empower leaders to make data-driven decisions, optimise real estate investments and ensure workplace infrastructure meets the changing demands of the modern workforce.
Additionally, in August, Envoy and Logitech partnered to integrate the latter’s Envoy Rooms conference room scheduling software with the former’s Tap Scheduler as a new meeting room solution which physically displays meeting details. The integration seeks to improve meeting space management, collaboration, and general user experience while minimising the admin burden of managing these spaces.
