Vanilla IP has announced the availability of Cisco Webex solutions on its UBoss platform.
The full Webex suite of services was made available to existing channel partners this week, with the portfolio opening up to other resellers from the 26 January.
Partners will be able to purchase three collaboration and meeting room solutions that offer different maximum participant limits.
According to Iain Sinnott, Sales and Marketing Manager at Vanilla IP, UBoss is breaking a “world-first” by making it possible for resellers to bundle Webex and Broadsoft solutions together, as well as with a Teams solutions.
Speaking to UC Today, Sinnott said: “I think what’s really interesting about this is that we’ve already launched a Microsoft Teams direct routing proposition, so this is really giving partners the two biggest brands in collaboration and meeting space on the market.
“If you take out Zoom, because it’s only a meeting room provider, and you call Webex and Microsoft Teams the two true collaboration working spaces, Vanilla IP resellers don’t have to pick one to sell regardless of requirement, they can have both in their portfolio.”
Partner Days
Sinnott went on to say that Vanilla IP will be hosting a partner day on 26 February to talk through the solutions and added that the firm will be launching more products at the event.
The unified communications provider will be bringing an on-hold product to market as well as updates to its current portfolio and changes to its UBoss platform.
Iain Sinnott
“We have about four or five different products to announce and we’ve got a couple of changes to the UBoss proposition,” continued Sinnott. “What we like about partner days is that we can get three or four reasonably sized messages out in one setting.
“But Webex is the big fill for us because Broadsoft’s weakness was its meeting and collaboration tool wasn’t strong enough, so I think this is a real completer for that all-in-one product.
“Broadsoft is still the most reliable and most complete dial tone telephony platform, the fact of the matter is that, as well as putting enhancements around call centres and mobility, we now have two strong meeting and collaboration links, one that is Cisco Webex, from the same family as Broadsoft, and the other which is Teams direct routing.”
