Zoom has launched a new partner programme with the aim of increasing adoption of Zoom Phone.

The Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) programme lets resellers sell licences that allow customers to connect their existing PSTN calling plans into the Zoom Phone platform.

Laura Padilla, Head of Global BD and Channel at Zoom, said: “As our channel program continues to evolve, I’m excited to introduce the Reseller Program for Zoom Phone BYOC as a new opportunity for our reseller partners.

“We’ve seen a lot of success in selling Zoom Phone, reaching two million seats in just 10 quarters, and I see a lot of opportunity for our resellers with our Zoom Phone BYOC programme”

“Zoom Phone BYOC provides customers with the flexibility to stay on their current carrier or easily use a combination to best meet their geographic reach and service needs.”

Partners will also be able to connect customers that use cloud peering to the recently announced Zoom Phone Provider Exchange. The exchange lets customers find PSTN providers from within in its ecosystem and enables a self-service journey to purchasing a service.

Zoom said it is running a pilot with a limited number of resellers but is expanding to opening the programme up to a wider base by the end of the year.

Prior to this, only Zoom’s group of master agents had been able to refer deals for Zoom Phone.

Elsewhere at Zoomtopia, Zoom revealed that end-to-end encryption would soon be coming to Zoom Phone.
