Logitech CEO Bracken Darrell has resigned to “pursue another opportunity”.

Darrell’s resignation from his positions as president, CEO, and member of the board of directors is effective immediately, although he will remain with the company during the upcoming month to ensure a smooth transition.

In line with Logitech’s established succession planning process, the board of directors has appointed Guy Gecht, a current board member, as the interim CEO.

Darrell said: “After nearly a decade of consistent growth and building market leadership across multiple categories, I feel this is a good point to hand over leadership.

“I want to thank all the amazing people across Logitech for their work through the years. I will work with Guy and the board to ensure a smooth transition, and I will continue to be a customer, shareholder, and enduring fan of Logitech and its products.”

Darrell joined Logitech as President in 2012 before becoming CEO in 2013.

Chairperson of the board, Wendy Becker, hailed Darrell’s impact on his 10-year tenure, crediting him with helping Logitech achieve consistent growth and driving a period of transformation.

She also expressed confidence in interim CEO Gecht.

“As an experienced CEO and member of Logitech’s board since 2019, Guy has a deep understanding of Logitech and its strategy, and is well-placed as interim CEO to oversee the continued execution of the company’s strategy.

“We thank Bracken for his leadership during an exciting era of transformation at Logitech. Over his ten years as CEO, Bracken oversaw a period of consistent growth and helped to transform Logitech into an award-winning design company known for its unparalleled product innovation.”

Gecht, before assuming the role of interim CEO at Logitech, served as a non-executive member of the board of directors since September 2019. He had previously chaired Logitech’s Technology and Innovation Committee and served on the Audit Committee.

Gecht had also been the CEO of Electronics for Imaging, a publicly-traded company specializing in digital printing technology, from 2000 to 2018. Gecht also serves on the board of directors of cybersecurity firm Check Point.

He said: “Logitech is in an exciting position, with many opportunities ahead.

“The company is a leader in growth markets; its product innovation engine is an industry hallmark, all underpinned by a strong financial foundation and a world-class leadership team.

“I look forward to working with this team to continue executing on the company’s strategy.”

New Products

Last month Logitech launched two new products, Logi Dock Flex and Rally Bar Huddle, to enhance workplace collaboration and improve meeting experiences.

Logi Dock Flex is a hardware and software solution that addresses the challenge of motivating employees to work in the office while providing companies with insights into space configuration and investments.

Logitech’s desk booking service, powered by Logi Dock Flex, allows workers to plan their in-office days, book desks using Logi Tune, and notify team members.

Rally Bar Huddle expands Logitech’s Rally product line, offering an all-in-one video bar solution for huddle rooms and small meeting spaces. With a focus on equitable meetings and collaborative experiences, Rally Bar Huddle accommodates rooms of up to six people.
