DTEN Launches ‘Bar and Mate’ Small Room Conferencing Solution

DTEN has launched the DTEN Small Room Solution for innovative video conferencing in the era of hybrid working.

The DTEN Small Room Solution is a complete video conferencing offering designed specifically for small meeting environments and use with any display. The product comprises the DTEN Bar and Mate products — the former is an all-in-one conferencing service and is complemented by the latter as a tabletop meeting controller.

The system provides sophisticated AI-powered audiovisual capabilities, ease of deployment, utilization, administration, and adaptability to accommodate diverse room configurations. The central camera is versatile, allowing horizontal and vertical mounting options.

Wei Liu, Founder and CEO of DTEN, commented:

Crafted for Zoom Rooms, BYOD, and eventually Microsoft Teams Rooms, the DTEN Small Room Solution elevates hybrid video meeting experiences with high-performing AI-enhanced audio, video, and presentation-ready features. It’s a comprehensive solution for the diverse needs of modern collaborative environments.”

Designed for rooms measuring up to 15ft x 15ft (4.5m x 4.5m) and capable of hosting up to seven participants, the DTEN Small Room Solution converts compact meeting spaces into dynamic and efficient collaborative environments. This solution supports Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) functionality, currently certified for Zoom Rooms, with Microsoft Teams certification anticipated later this year.

The DTEN Small Room Solution with the DTEN Bar and DTEN Mate is available today.

The DTEN Small Room Solution Feature Set

The DTEN Bar leverages proprietary algorithms that analyze body contours and movement patterns, enabling the distinction of humans from other objects and backgrounds. This capability is critical for people counting, movement tracking, and security. Furthermore, DTEN Audio AI guarantees effective noise suppression and acoustic echo cancellation, ensuring clear and uninterrupted communication.

The solution showcases an advanced camera system and audio quality. Distinguished by its innovative design, the DTEN Bar incorporates an AI-powered 4K camera system with a 360-degree flip capability, a robust 12-microphone array, front-facing 15W stereo speakers (30W output), integrated video meeting software, and support for dual displays.

Because it is designed for professional presentations and seamless content sharing, the DTEN Small Room Solution is equipped with the DTEN BYOD cable. Thoroughly tested for compatibility with the DTEN Bar, this 6ft (1.8m) USB Type-C cable encourages full-function, two-way BYOD with a tabletop 65W charging capability for convenient and intuitive use.

The DTEN Bar also provides flexibility in mounting configurations, allowing horizontal placement above or below a single display or vertical positioning between two displays. Its distinctive functionality to vertically flip while maintaining the same aspect ratio ensures authentic eye-to-eye level meeting experiences, encouraging seamless sharing of both individuals and content within the same meeting environment.

Lastly, accessibility is critical. Available at the tabletop through the DTEN Mate, meeting room controls offer a smooth and user-friendly experience for all participants.

How Was DTEN’s 2023?

One of DTEN’s most significant achievements in 2023 was becoming a certified Microsoft Teams OEM partner.

DTEN had been most widely known for delivering Zoom-compatible solutions beforehand and for its renown for innovative touch, camera and microphone technology, particularly in the hybrid meeting space.

Doug Remington, General Manager of EMEA at DTEN, told UC Today that he and his colleagues were excited about translating their successes with the Zoom ecosystem to the Teams world. “This simplified, optimized, advanced meeting room and hybrid classroom experience we offer on a global level,” Remington said.
